General Motors has confirmed an all-new 8.3-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8, code-named “Mongoose,” for the refreshed 2027 GMC Sierra HD. The announcement confirms months of speculation surrounding a larger-displacement Duramax engine for GM’s heavy-duty truck lineup.
